Children and youth have the highest rates of concussion. This means that individuals who have concussions are often in school, and involved in sports or other recreational activities.
Keeping service providers educated on concussion, its symptoms, and return-to-activity guidelines helps promote a more effective and carefully monitored reintegration back into learning, work or activity following concussion.
In our goal to uncover and fill knowledge gaps among service providers, ONF and partners have evaluated the knowledge of service providers, as well as provided them with educational materials to help ensure the knowledge gaps are filled.
ONF has published concussion guidelines for children and youth, which contains sections specific to service providers in schools, sports and community centers. For more information, take a look at our guidelines.
